What Is Non-surgical Rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical Rhinoplasty (also commonly known as ‘nose fillers’) is a medical procedure using Dermal filler to improve the cosmetic appearance of the nose without the need for surgery. When compared to a traditional nose job, nose fillers provide a subtler and more natural result with little to no downtime.

What Results Can I Expect With A Non-surgical Nose Job?

Nose Fillers provide subtler, natural looking results when compared to a traditional nose job. These results are immediately apparent, with any slight swelling receding over 24-48 hours. By adding small amounts of Dermal filler to localised areas of the nose, patients can expect to:

  • Smooth out bumps
  • Straighten & reshape crooked noses
  • Refine broad noses
  • Lift to create more height on flat noses
  • Fill in deep lines
  • Reduce wrinkles

There is very little downtime associated with non-surgical nose jobs, with most patients returning to work the day of the procedure. Results last 8 to 10 months, allowing you to adjust your nose as your face changes over time and making sure your nose always looks natural.

What Is The Difference Between Nose Fillers And Plastic Surgery?

Traditional Nose Jobs

Traditional rhinoplasty is a treatment performed by doctors that covers just about all types of surgical nose reshaping. This is quite an invasive procedure that involves costly surgery and an extended recovery period. Recovery periods include a two week surgery recovery, with normal activity resumed after a couple of weeks. It is not abnormal to wait upwards of a year for your nose to settle and provide the results you originally wanted.

During the recovery period, it is not uncommon to experience extreme nasal congestion for up to 10 days, as well as bruising and swelling around the eyes for about 2 weeks. Glasses cannot be rested on the nose for six to seven weeks after the procedure and strong pain medication is commonly required. A surgical nose job has many possible side effects including permanent difficulty breathing, infection, permanent swelling and numbness, cartilage collapse and possibly undesired cosmetic results. Surgical rhinoplasty results are permanent, with the nose often time looking stretched or unnatural as the patient ages.

Non Surgical Rhinoplasty

Nose fillers are an option that allows you to alter the shape of your nose without the need for an invasive and dangerous surgery. A qualified practitioner uses injected dermal filler in specific and localised areas to achieve a more desirable nose. The patient is fully awake and conscious during the procedure, providing a much safer experience. The non-surgical nose job does not cause nose bleeds, nor does it cause extreme swelling or numbness. There is very little downtime, with most patients returning to work the day after the procedure.

Results are immediate, with any slight swelling going down in the next 24-48 hours. Sunglasses and heavy glasses should be avoided for 2 weeks after the procedure while the dermal filler integrates itself within the nose. The results last 8 to 10 months, allowing you to adjust your results as your face changes over time and making sure your nose always looks natural.
