Peels

The Synergie Professional Peel treatments are designed to reduce the appearance of irregularities on the skin’s surface and reveal a smooth, revitalised texture through regenerating and resurfacing the skin. They remove the top layers of the skin, help to stimulate collagen remodelling, reduce tonal discoloration, improve skin texture and hydration, reduce congestion and improve the overall appearance of the skin.

What are Skin Peels?

Basically peels are a deep chemical exfoliation which removes old dead skin cells to reveal new fresh skin.  It also stimulates the regeneration of new skin cells which in the long run improves skin health.

What are the benefits of chemical peels?

Different chemical peels have different benefits, as we all have different skin types and conditions. Your dermal therapist will choose a peel that best suits your skin condition and what you are looking to achieve. Different peels come with different benefits and different strengths; the good thing is peels have little to no down time. The treatment can cause some minor flaking in the few days following your treatment due to cell turnover.

We recommend using a prescribed pre-treatment cosmetic kit two weeks prior to your peel to enhance your treatment results.

How the treatment feels:

The treatment feels like a strong prickle on the skin. This only lasts up to 10 minutes.

Acne Peels

Acne peels are a combination of various skin purifying acidic chemicals, designed to smooth out your skin and reduce and treat acne. They reduce excess oil and sebum production in acne, and help in reducing mild acne scars. Acne peels are usually a combination of salicylic and glycolic acids.

Various strengths and types of chemical peels are available, and an in-depth skin consultation is necessary to ensure the appropriate peel treatment is selected for the client’s specific skin concerns. A course of 3-6 peel treatments are recommended for optimal results, depending on the client’s skin requirements. Allow 1-2 weeks of downtime after each peel treatment as the client’s skin will shed as it renews.

The Synergie Enzyme Hydropeel is the ideal chemical peel for all skin types wanting to freshen up a dull complexion.

A blend of papaya enzyme and 15% lactic acid will stimulate cellular renewal and leave the skin looking soft, plump and hydrated and with a radiant and dewy glow. It is best to commence your Synergie chemical peel journey with a minimum of one of these highlyactive yet gentle exfoliation treatments.

2. PURIFYING SALICYLIC PEEL

With a chemical composition very closely related to aspirin, this BHA salicylic peel results in deep pore purification, exfoliation and potent anti-inflammatory actions.

These qualities make the Synergie Salicylic peel treatment ideal for acneic and congested skin types as well as rosacea sufferers when used at lower concentrations.  Treatments are to commence at a low level to ascertain tolerance and the percentage of salicylic acid is slowly increased in subsequent peel treatments.
